For music i just search the song name and free and see what comes up...
And another tidbit, I always got those surveys when downloading NES games for Nestopia (To play old nintendo games on the computer) I used www.theoldcomputer.com and clicked games on the left. Theres a popup when you first go there but other than that theres nothing, i havent been there in about 2 months but thats what i know :)

So large companies pay $1,000,000's of dollars every month to the average person. In return, the average person, like myself, fills out surveys and gives them their opinion.
