Does anyone really make money filling out surveys? Why all the offers during the survey?

I just started selling AVON and my main goal is to work on my own terms and never have to go back to work for someone 8 to 5 and I would really love to be able to supplement my income by working from home but again under my own terms. Now, my AVON business is going great for me so far but again I just started so the money isn't bling, bling, just yet. I have been looking into surveys but my question is, is there really money in surveys and why all the (free) offers? If anyone can help with survey information or any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.

Reply:It is good to hear that you are self-motivated..to answer your question about surveys, I have been making an extra income from surveys for over a year now! The free offers are basically enticements for you to sample their products or ways to promote a new product..Anyway to further help you, I have included a link that I used to get me started from making money from surveys..I found this link from a previous Yahoo answer!

Reply:Most are fake but there is one that I know of that will actually pay you money! That would be treasuretroopers.com. You can fill out daily surveys for a dollar or do cash offers which cost you no money at all and vary in price.

Treasuretroopers does actually work. With a week of working on and off i gradually accumulated 25 dollars and it was sent to my door. You can also earn coins and purchase other special prizes with those coins.

Are there any free & legitimate high-paying paid survey sites out there?

Has anyone had luck through personal experience with a particular website- I am a student so time is very valuable to me, and if a survey comes out to $1/hour I'd rather not waste my time. Or if my private info is at risk, no way. I have no time to apply for scholarships and write essays and my job doesnt pay enough...are there other easy and quick ways a student can make money? (Stripping is NOT an option)

Reply:Well...ACOP (American Consumer Opinion) and Esearch both usually have surveys paying $5 or more. Most surveys take about 20 minutes (if they pay more than $5 they are usually longer surveys).. You may only qualify for one or two a month, if that, though (Esearch sends one every several months--and you may not qualify for it).

Your2Cents and Oppinion Outpost usually pay between $1-5 per survey (which are usually around 20 minutes).

First of all the sites listed above in abother answer are low paying survey sites.

You have to find the good ones.I just got a $350.00 survey ,$75.00 and 125.00 surveys with in the past week.

That is not nearly all the surveys but the bigger paying ones.

The only reason I make a good amount every month is because I have signes up to over 200 hundred sites.

I still do the little easy sites like inboxdollars ans sendearnings oh yes and surveyspot but they don't pay like the better places.

Hagen/Sinclair Research Recruiting.com - this is a great site for big money surveys.

This is the $350.00 dollar one i just got.

I tell you what,go to treasuretrooper.com sign up (it's a survey site and yes it's free)(these are all free) after sign up go to where it says cash surveys,then do not click on the big red button where it says survey but scroll down to hwere you see the main list.Those are some of the best sites if you want to mkae atleast $75.00 per survey.

Question about those survey sites or other online sites where you "make money"?

Does anyone know of any survey sites where you don't have to pay the site to take their surveys? Or does anyone know of some work at home site that is legit, will work for a college student, and isnt going to ask you to pay them to work for them?

I keep getting all these emails from sites saying make money by taking surveys, etc. Yeah if you pay them first, then there is no telling if you'll ever see that money again. So some kind of free survey site or something that will actually pay for opinions.

Job opportunities in my state are rather dry without four year degrees.

Theres a lot of "free survey" sites out there most of them work on a point system and it takes a ridiculously long time to earn any cash. You could spend 50+ hours taking surveys to earn a lousy $10. Here are a few that I find do actually give you surveys for cash.

Each of thses sites work a little differently. Mindfeild is a product testing site. They haven't ever paid me but I do get quite a few products to test from them. And I get to keep those products.

Myveiw pays $2 per survey. They pay through paypal and regularly. Its the site ive made the most cash from so far.

Greenfield only occasionally pays cash. They will state that the survey pays cash when they send it. Most surveys they send out reward you with a contest entry. They are slow to pay.

Pinecone is a hard one to get signed up with. You have to find a recruiting banner and follow the link to sign up. Its not easy to find one but if you do they pay $5 per survey and they pay regularly and they pay fast.

Be forewarned these bring in a little bit of extra income but they will not earn you a living.

It was at this time that, one day while idling over my computer, I clicked on a link - which I think mentioned cash from home - and I was hooked. At first I was overwhelmed at the variety and diversity of the Internet income opportunity. I found a multitude of offers ranging from data typing, to freelancing; from web designing to copy writing . to the one of the most lucrative options, paid surveys.

Taking paid surveys is an extremely convenient and easy way to earn cash online. I can see the interest growing in your eyes. What are online paid surveys, you will ask?

That is exactly what I was asking two years ago when I rediscovered the meaning of earning at my convenience! Let me start at the most important part. Money! How much can you make with online paid surveys? Will you believe when I tell you that you can make anything between $1 and $150 per survey?

They say that the difference between real and fiction is that fiction needs to make sense!! This is really applicable to making money with online surveys. It does not really make sense, but it is there life-size and true! But do not take my word for it. You go out there and just type 'online paid surveys' in the browser line and see what comes out of it. Try a few and just get the feel of it and see how easy is to fill in a survey.

The online surveys are just simple questionnaires which require certain information or opinions from you. These feedback are analyzed by the companies who send you the surveys and the information thus obtained go to form the future product strategy of that company, be it marketing, production, content, correction, etc.

The next logical question you would ask is why the companies would pay people to do surveys. Companies need access to information regarding the reaction of the public on the products they promote. In order to get this information they do extensive market research studies which are expensive and sometimes not reliable - when the data can be manufactured. Paid online surveys give these companies direct access to the public. The payment is calculated based on the importance of the product and the difficulty the company has to gain serious insights on it. Hence, online surveys are a healthy business proposition for the companies.

You could, as I could, build a good reliable source of income with online surveys. There are a few tips that you should keeping mind however, so you do not run into headaches.

Seek those companies that have a good feedback on the Internet; in order to find what others think of it, run a search on the name of the company asking for review or comments. Invariably, the net will throw up sufficient feedback for you to get a good idea about the company;

Remember - this type of work is just like any other work, even if it requires less mental and physical effort. Completing online surveys require patience and persistence if you want to earn a significant amount;

Another trick is to get your name enlisted in as many companies as possible. Logically speaking, even if you have only $5 surveys - which usually take anything between 20-25 minutes max (this also depends upon the speed of your browser) - and you have 4-5 per day, you could earn a very tidy sum;
Reply:Yeah...you never want to sign up for anything you get through un-solicited mail. Even if they claim to be from a legit site, they may be someone else pretending to be that site to get your info (a phishing scene).

There are some legitimate sites out there though. Taking survey just earns you some pizza money (I earn about $20 a month) not salaray or "pay your tuition" amounts.

If you are artistic at all, or can think of some funny sayings to put on t-shirts and mugs and stuff, another free business you can do from home is selling your designs at places like www.cafepress.com or www.printfection.com . (You can probably use Adobe photoshop at your college for free--so you have that going for you). It's fairly easy to set up--but if you really want to succeed it takes a lot of work and commitment. It can take 6 months to a year for your first sale (or not...sometimes less...sometimes a design becomes popular and you sell a lot right away--you never know). But I do know people who make a full time living doing that.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Yeah like others said, you can go to your county courthouse and look up the plat for your property. Many times you will have to pay a dollar to 15 dollars for a copy of the plat. If your just wondering where your property lines are then that will be all you need. The actual survey will have the house and other flatwork/improvements, in addition to the distances.

Too bad you didn't live in the ft. worth are I'd just come out and find your property pins(or bois d'arc in the probable case of your lot) in exchange for a case of beer....

I want to open a business where I would sell all-natural products for health, beauty, household, and pain management, as well as other things related to herbalism, aromatherapy and other natural health products. Make a disclaimer stating that you are not a doctor and that you do not claim that these products can cure anything. That will protect you from someone trying to sue you. You should also look into legal advice about drafting a disclaimer containing whether any of your products contain ingredients someone could be allergic to, whether they are approved or not by the FDA, what contraindications might be possible with any specific medications, etc.

It is hard to find a good site to make money. There are alot of scams out there. I found doing surveys are the best way of money making. But I found a site that pays me to sign up for sites that pay me to take surveys. Can't miss that. I am putting a page together of internet interest and I have money making sites listed. Reply:Envelope stuffing is a scam....period! A company can purchase an envelope stuffer,folder for as little as a few hundred dollars. Why pay YOU any more than that when they could simply invest in an inexpensive piece of equipment that can fold and stuff hundreds of envelopes in a matter of minutes!!

They want to push all liabilities off on vulnerable souls like yourself...please steer away...All envelope stuffing jobs will be a minimum of $40 down (probably more) and they promise to refund this to you after you send out your first 500 pieces.

Also they claim to pay for postage and envelopes...BUT...they will attempt to negotiate with YOU to pay for it upfront to save time...and they will "reimburse you" ...OK now they have got you in a position where you "dont want to turn back because you now have your OWN personal money involved" Before you know it YOU have stuffed envelopes at YOUR expense and the company will not reimburse you nor pay you the money for stuffing THEIR junk....Please Dont...

The only way to make money is buy a desirable product the public needs at a low price and sell it for a profit.

Here is what she does-

I'm looking for a legit site that pays at least $2 to $5 for each survey I do. I know I'm not going to get rich doing this but I just want to make a few easy bucks. Reply:I am a skeptic when it comes to paid surveys and 'get paid to complete offer' sites, BUT honestly many of them are legit and have enabled me to generate a great amount of extra money. On one site, you can find actual photos of checks people have gotten from the site. On my favorite site that I use, the total payment cashout reached six figures ($100,000) for the month of May!! The most important thing is to never get discouraged if you start out slow. Those $1-$5 surveys will add up over time, and doing them from more than one site at a time really increases your income. My first week using three of these survey sites, combined, I made over $60 dollars without even touching a credit card, so they really do pay. Depending on the amount of time you can dedicate to the websites, you can make so much more. PS: The survey panel thats hard to get onto is Pinecone Research because you have to find a flashing banner and click it to get to the sign up form, but if you can manage that, you get $5 per survey. Anyway try some of the ones above. They are free and easy to get started.

Its been my experience that very few of them pay any real money. There was one site I used to do them on and I would get a check for $20 maybe twice a year. That was such a small amount of money that I've forgotten the name of the site.

You're much better off signing up with real market research companies in your area, where you go to a location and do a focus group. You'll only get called a couple of times a year but generally will make about $100 for a couple of hours of your time.

Reply:My boyfriend signed up to do online surveys, and they do work. The problem he had is that often times you had to take an evaluation to see if you are even qualified for that survey. So you have to take time just to see if they want you to fill out the survey, and a majority of the time you can't.

If you want to give it a try, make sure sign up with legitimate paid survey sites (since there are many scams out there). Check out one of the good and free paid survey directory sites such as http://www.mysurvey123.com (this is the one I use), they have free lists of legit survey sites, articles of guide and advice, and paid survey reviews and ratings.
Reply:National Family Opinion is a company that has been around as long as I have. I remember my mom getting stuff in the mail to try out and we would do surveys on them (laundry soap, cigarettes, tooth paste). Now they do online surveys and you earn so many points for each one. Those points can be redeemed for cash or prizes.

It takes a while to earn money with them, but it's fun and the surveys usually only take a few minutes. I've tested laundry soap for them once, and it was a blast!
Reply:I've used mindfield.com, opinionoutpost.com and surveyspot.com for about a year. I think I made a total of $50 during that time. If you've got the free time and you check often for surveys that you qualify for, you can make some money, but I don't think tons. The three I mentioned were reliable and paid me when I asked for payment. I think personal recommendations are the best way to find good sites, so asking here is probably your best bet. I tried a lot of crappy ones before finding these three.

There are more lower class consumers. They make the cheapest TV they can make so that everyone can buy one, we buy their crap, and they get richer. The government is afraid of the market in the sense that they don't know how to aproach this handful of BIG companies, without them getting touchy and gettign in a legal battle, the companies can "afford" and forcing their hand into D.C., by way of their lobbyists, to "convince" senators to pass bills in their favor. The words "war profiteer" come to mind. Still CEOs get richer than the president himself. If the president had no military command he would just be a public service figure. About this war, sadly, we need the oil. If we run out before other countries, we couldn't fly our bombers to protect ourselves
