I got this call stating that i had taken a survey a while back...I know i did for something but not them I think. They told me I won a free vacation for 2 and that I didn't have to buy any think but just have these people come to my house to show me thier product. I have a year to decide where I want to go. I don't have to use it and I can give it away. The company said they were a really old company and they deal in air quality products. Mabey like purifiers? I have no clue. If you have recieved this call, please let me know that I am not the only one thinking this is a scam. Thanks

I would look into on the web because usually places like that have websites. I have a similar thing happen to me and it was a complete scam. Usually things that seem to good to be true when it comes to "telemarketers" are actually to good to be true.

Look into it. Ask them about there qualifications for what there doing. Maybe some testimonys from other people. Ask them questions to verify what there doing.

It honestly seems like a scam. Maybe you could say to them "I'm going to look into this and if i do find out its not true i will report you" and then ask them for a number they can call you back on. If they dont give you one its totally fake. Because usually telemarketers who are trying to sell things will give you a number to call back on because they want your buisness. IF they give you one and its not a valid number you can realize whats going on.

You said you didnt sign up for anything well ask them how they got your number. Ask them what qualifys you for this vacation.

So pretty much just make sure there qualified for what there doing. Make sure there legit. Ask them questions that real companies could answer. Look into it.

Good luck.

And go with your gut.

Reply:Yes, it's a scam. Think of it. If you owned a company, would you spend thousands of dollars giving people free vacations for two and all you would expect in return is for them to listen to your pitch? That doesn't make sense and any company doing business this way would be out of business real soon.
Reply:THAT IS DEFANANTLY A SCAM!

1. almost nobody gives anything out 4 free unless theres something separate u have 2 pay for

2. dont listen to any facts that the scammers give you, they're lying
Reply:Once when I was young and more optimistic, I responded to a thing like that. (Except I was sure I had filled out the thing they were talking about, and they wanted me to go to an inane talk about vacation timeshares.) The free vacation turned out to be that they would pay for your stay at a resort for a few days, but you had to pay to get there and pay for your meals while you're there, which is hardly free. Oh, and activities weren't included, so if I wanted to do anything besides lie around and read or watch TV, that would cost more too. Plus they wanted a $50 "booking fee" and I was only allowed to pick out certain times of the year that weren't peak season. So I did the math and figured it would cost me about $700-900 to take a 3 day "free" vacation at a time that wouldn't necessarily be convenient to a place it would never have occurred to me to want to go in the first place. *eye roll* Live and learn.
Reply:Don't do it. No such thing as a free lunch, or in this case, a free vacation. They'll steal your money. Trust me, I've seen it happen.
Reply:Please - do NOT let them come near you!!! They are lying - there will be a vacation - but it will have endless fine print and strings attached and WILL NOT be free. It will cost you and it will only be given to you if you HAVE BOUGHT their product. They are cheats and scamsters - just above the law to not be prosecuted - but doing ONLY themselves a favour - not you as a consumer.
Reply:I would wait around for a better offer from the tooth fairy.
Reply:yes old scam
Reply:It sounds like Kerby vacuum cleaners. It's a really good product but it's expensive. And the free vacation is probably free only if you decide to sell them yourself or buy the vacuum.
